The brief here was to take inspiration from the rather lovely house that this shed sits alongside. On the initial drive to the property we passed a lot of black timbered buildings with white windows, and decided we could replicate the style in a timber garden building. The door sits under a simple pediment with decorative architrave which is also picked up on the barge boards. Simple yet elegant, hopefully! The owner is so pleased that she has commissioned us to build two more similarly sized and proportioned buildings, one that is going to be a tool shed for her woodland garden, completely clad in cedar shingle. Watch this space.
