Copper

Another beautiful shed made for a retuning customer.
8 or 9 years ago Richard was one of the first people to put his trust in us, and commissioned a cedar clad shed. It was good to see that the shed showed little, if any signs of degradation, whilst the cedar had weathered to look as if it had been there for decades.
This time he had some copper sheet knocking about, so we used it to clad the front under the windows. The windows are painted "verdigris", so in another 50 years or so, they'll match the copper (which already has spots of verdigris). We sourced a reclaimed copper door knob and made a matching escutcheon to finish the job.
